Vault Features
Heirs
The people who will receive your vault contents upon release.
Heirs
Heirs are the individuals you designate to receive your vault contents when it matures and releases. SovSeal ensures your legacy is delivered directly to them, removing the friction of traditional probate and the risk of lost passwords.
How it Works
When your vault's Release Trigger is met, your heirs are notified and invited to claim their inheritance.
Access Control Simplified
In SovSeal v2.0, access is straightforward:
- Whole Vault Access: Every designated heir receives download access to your entire vault.
- No Complexity: We've removed complex "view-only" or "per-asset" scopes to ensure your heirs get what they need without technical hurdles.
Adding Heirs
You can add up to 5 heirs to your vault. For each heir, you'll need:
- Name: For identification within your dashboard.
- Email Address: The primary way SovSeal will contact them during the release sequence.
- Wallet Address (Optional): If you are bequeathing on-chain assets, providing their wallet address ensures a smoother transition.
The Succession Sequence
- Trigger: Your chosen condition (e.g., Dead Man's Switch) is met.
- Contestation: A 14-day window begins where you can cancel the release if it was a mistake.
- Notification: Once the window closes, heirs receive an invitation to access the vault.
- Delivery: Heirs verify their identity and download the decrypted contents.
Privacy Note: Heirs cannot see your vault contents, or even know they are heirs, until the release sequence actually concludes. Your "Silent Directives" remain private as long as you are active.
